Final Exam

1. - Complete
2. - Complete
3. - Complete

4. I believe that my most transformative photo would have to be this one, a picture of Karthik standing against a rail looking over at James, who was not in the photo. I believe that this was my most decisive photo because after taking this one I realised that often times when the subject is not 100% aware of when you are taking the photo and go on doing their everyday tasks they will look more genuine and natural in your photos. Often times our group would simply just be ourselves while we are outside taking photos and whenever a great photo opportunity shows up whoever has the camera can take the photo. This showed me how to be more natural with my photos.

5. Shape and form are both objects in space however shape is two dimensional and defined by line while form is three dimensional and defined by its length, width, height, and angles.

6. Repetition refers to one object or shape being repeated while pattern is a combination of elements or shapes that are repeated in a regular and recurring arrangement

7. Movement is the path that your eye takes through the photo, led by lines edges shapes and colours. best shown in my photo of Karthik standing still next to a rail for the stairs. You originally focus on Karthik then your eyes begin to follow the rail and end up focusing on the people in the background, especially the one in the white shirt. Motion is shown through colour and lines in this photo.

8. Of the last three projects I believe I did my best work in the Spring Expo Project. During this project I used Mr. Farley's first rule of photography, get closer, to take pictures in the MSJ Garden. Using this rule I went in and took my pictures, moving a few things around in the environment and getting closer to the subject. I believe that This Picture was my greatest work within this project, I saw this large pile of sticks on the other side of the fence of the garden, and I ran over to take this picture. Upon getting there and taking normal pictures the photo just looked rather plain and boring. After getting closer and focusing on one part of the pile instead of the entire thing made the photo look far better. During this project I learned that using this rule will definitely help and that I should get closer to subjects.

Student website review

Period 2: Rashi Ambashta- The best photo is the one on the bottom of her web page. It is clear and it also matches the background of her weebly very well.

Period 3:  Jasmit Tamber-  The best photo is the second to last one, it was clear, his mood in the photo matches the tone of the interesting story that goes along with it.

Period 4: Jonathan Luo-  The best photo is photo 21 in his slideshow. It shows people walking for a cure during the even Relay For Life. This is the best photo because it shows one of the main points of the event and the people participating in it.

"I recommend you get in line early" is what I said to my friends who wanted to go see a new movie at the cinema. He responded by saying it would be fine and that there would be no line for the late night screening, so I sent him this picture, still not believing me he decided to show up ten minutes before his movie aired. Later that night while I was sitting at home eating dinner i received a text filled with regret saying "I should have come earlier".
