Good technique Rudy, I can definitely see a form here in the form of a chopped tree trunk. The only thing I would like to see you do better is utilizing the "get closer" rule. You need to talk to the tree, use your communication skills and get closer. It is important to do this with any subject of your photo regardless of who or what the subject is. I can still tell here that the tree is not yet comfortable with your presence, especially with you holding a camera capturing its personal life. Once you establish trust and candidacy, you should expect to see much imimproved photos.
